American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a strategic leader to manage airline distribution across the Americas. You will partner with airlines, influence product decisions, and drive initiatives to optimize content at the point of sale.

A strong focus on collaboration and cross-functional work is essential. The role requires 3+ years in airline distribution, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to navigate a complex organization across time zones.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the airline and/or travel distribution space, with knowledge of NDC preferred.
• Strong product and technology knowledge to influence discussions.
• Ability to build relationships across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead air distribution strategy for North America and Latam with Distribution Team leadership.
• Collaborate with Airlines to align goals and improve content for joint customers.
• Address content-related issues and implement solutions to overcome challenges.
• Coordinate with Product & Technology, Marketplace and Commercial teams to align goals.
• Develop and implement new strategies to expand content offerings using new capabilities.
• Create commercial models to meet evolving marketplace needs.

This is a strategic role, where the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the distribution relationships with key external partners to secure best‑in‑class content for GBT’s customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure this content is optimized at point of sale.

What You’ll Do:

• Work withDistributionTeam’s leadership to drive the air distribution strategy inNorth America and Latam.

• Partnering with Airlines to ensure strong collaboration on distribution matters, alignment on goals and enhancing the overall offering to joint customers

• Work through content related issues and apply solutions asrequiredto overcome challenges

• Workingclosely withProduct & Technology,Marketplaceand Commercial teams toensure alignmentandprogress on key goals

• Developing and implementing new strategies to evolve and expand the content offered to customersutilizingnew capabilities and technology asrequired

• Develop commercial models to meet the evolving needs of the marketplace

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in theAirline and/or traveldistribution space. Ideal with good knowledge of NDC

• Strong product and technology knowledge baseto influence and lead product-related discussions.

• Strong relationship building skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners. Ability to navigate a complex organization and find the right internal partner for each project

• Critical thinking skills coupled with translating complex technical and business issues into clear, actionable insights for leadership

The US national base salary range for this position is from

$88,200.00 - $163,800.00

The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, the anticipated range of which is posted above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance.
