ElectraGrid Solutions in Kentucky is seeking an entry-to-intermediate-level Distribution Overhead Lineman C to assist in building and maintaining overhead and underground electrical distribution systems under close supervision.

This role emphasizes safety, hands-on training, travel as needed, and potential advancement to Lineman B; duties include installation, maintenance, and repair, climbing poles, handling materials, and learning to operate equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant lineman training.
• 0–2 years in electrical line construction or lineman apprenticeship program.
• Ability to climb poles and work at elevated heights with safety gear.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; CDL Class A preferred.
• First Aid/CPR and Pole Top Rescue certifications or obtainable shortly after hire.
• Pre-employment drug, background checks, and a DOT physical.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Learn to climb poles using fall-protection and work from bucket trucks.
• Support pole setting and line hardware installation.
• Load, stage, and manage materials, tools at job sites.
• Maintain vehicles and work areas in safe condition.
• Perform groundwork and operate power tools as directed.
• Follow PPE guidelines and minimum approach distances.
• Assist with emergency restoration and callouts as needed.
• Participate in daily briefings and crew safety meetings.
• Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and safety compliance.
