Job summary

PowerGrid Services, LLC is seeking a Distribution Lineman A to install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power lines. This role advances from Apprentice to Journeyman and requires leadership to mentor junior crew members.

Candidates must have journeyman-level experience, a CDL Class A, and certifications in First Aid/CPR and Pole Top Rescue. Willingness to travel and work extended hours is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and relevant journeyman experience.
• Must have valid CDL Class A license maintained during employment.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and Pole Top Rescue certifications.
• Drug, alcohol, background, MVR, and clearinghouse checks required.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• String, splice, transfer, and sag wire in energized and de-energized circuits.
• Work above ground using climbing gear and specialized equipment.
• Inspect lines and equipment for damage; report hazards.
• Lead and mentor lower-level crew members.
• Perform line switching, load checks, and emergency repairs.
• Assist with pole handling, tower erection, and safety protocols.
