Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage and shipping. You will develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity while leading a team of Operations Managers and staff.

You will ensure safety, manage vendor relationships, monitor performance metrics with WMS, and drive the site's profitability and customer satisfaction through regular MB/RBQ reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehouse or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL or contract logistics is preferred.
• Staff management and P&L exposure preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach a team of Operations Managers and staff, fostering a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe, clean, efficient working environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and other tech to track inventory and performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and secure cost-effective services.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and key metrics.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Own site’s P&L and contribute to MB/RQBRs.
