Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to steer warehouse operations and strategic improvements across a national footprint. You will lead a team of managers, drive safety and efficiency, and leverage WMS and automation to optimize inventory, costs, and service levels.

You will build strong customer relationships, oversee the P&L, and present performance reviews while shaping a collaborative, results-driven culture across 500+ facilities and 50,000+ associates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience required.
• 2+ years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment preferred.
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and other technology to track inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services and supplies.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Responsible for the site's P&L and impact on customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews to customers.
