The role emphasizes hazard anticipation, switching order validation, EWP/DWP analysis, and embedding safety rules and grounding requirements into pre‑job documentation, coordinating with operations to support restoration readiness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of distribution or transmission line experience with demonstrated competency.
• Pass the technical capability test as an alternative to experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership & high‑risk planning—embed life critical rules, grounding, clearances, and safe‑work practices into pre‑job documentation.
• Standards compliance & work package validation—pre‑construction reviews, site assessments, material verification to prevent rework.
• System operations support—prepares switching packages, isolation points, outage steps, coordinates with DOC for safe sequencing.
• Execution readiness—validates access, environmental needs, permits, logistics, equipment staging, and material availability.
• Technical coaching & field support—clarifies expectations, prepares actionable work plans, participates in post‑job reviews.
