Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Utility/Construction or estimating in related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, bid documents.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Project; knowledge of estimating fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for Overhead and Underground Distribution construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes of work, bid packages, customer requirements, and project docs to identify risks or scope gaps.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu and project documentation.
• Build detailed estimates in Excel: labor, equipment, material quantities and costs, subcontractor costs, production assumptions, indirect costs.
• Develop labor/equipment assumptions based on methods, crew, productivity, and conditions.
• Assist with project schedules using Microsoft Project.

Ancillary services include wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration services.The Distribution Estimator is a seasoned professional responsible for developing accurate and detailed cost estimates for complex Distribution construction projects.
