Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is seeking a Distribution Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for complex Distribution projects. The role requires strong technical proficiency and cross-department collaboration to align estimates with project goals.

You will perform quantity takeoffs, build detailed Excel models, and assist with schedules using Microsoft Project. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in Electrical Utility/Construction estimating, with advanced Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and sharp

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Utility/Construction estimating or similar industry.
• Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and overall estimating fundamentals.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, scopes, and bid documents with accuracy.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of documenting assumptions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for overhead and underground distribution projects.
• Review drawings, specs, bid packages, and other docs to identify risks.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu and project docs.
• Build estimates in Excel: labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and costs.
• Develop labor/equipment assumptions based on methods and conditions.
• Support schedules and durations using Microsoft Project.
• Identify exclusions, assumptions, risks, and price clarifications.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor/subcontractor pricing as needed.
• Participate in estimate reviews with Operations and leadership.
• Handover awarded projects to PM/Operations and track performance vs estimates.
