Job summary

Primoris T&D, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, seeks a Distribution Estimator in Denton, TX to develop accurate cost estimates for complex distribution projects. The role requires reviewing drawings, bid packages, and environment constraints, and building comprehensive Excel-based estimates with labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs.

The position emphasizes cross‑department collaboration, risk identification, and ensuring estimates align with project goals.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Utility/Construction or estimating in related industries.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, bid documents.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Project; knowledge of estimating fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for Overhead and Underground Distribution construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes of work, bid packages, customer requirements, and project docs to identify risks or scope gaps.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu and project documentation.
• Build detailed estimates in Excel: labor, equipment, material quantities and costs, subcontractor costs, production assumptions, indirect costs.
• Develop labor/equipment assumptions based on methods, crew, productivity, and conditions.
• Assist with project schedules using Microsoft Project.
