Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a DC Supervisor to oversee daily schedules for warehouse team members engaged in shipping, receiving, loading/unloading trailers, order picking, palletizing and inventory movement.

This role ensures compliance with company policies, directs workflow, maintains a safe, clean environment, and coordinates with management to meet distribution objectives and customer requirements, while promoting a productive team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years warehouse/distribution experience.
• Experience directing work and coordinating with teams.
• Experience with material handling and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily schedules of warehouse staff performing shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking and palletizing finished products.
• Determine space requirements for storage and schedule delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment, including company vehicles, in compliance with laws, and ensure a safe, clean environment with the ability to enforce all company work and safety rules.
• Monitors employee attendance, productivity, and other performance markers and provides counseling to employees, as required.
• Coordinates work with warehouse and operations manager, telephone sales and other supervisors concerning shipments being shipped in accordance with designated cut-off times, merchandise shortages, etc.
• Maintains records and reports, such as lost sales, error report, and production report.
• Recommends changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit.
