Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Director, Warehouse Management to lead a high-volume distribution center supporting our store network. You will oversee 20–30 leaders and up to 300 teammates, driving safety, efficiency, and service levels while managing inventory integrity and financial performance.

This role reports to the Regional Vice President, Warehouse Operations and requires a strong track record in large-scale DC leadership, automation, and continuous improvement across a retail distribution

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Minimum 3-5 years of senior-level leadership experience managing large-scale distribution operations.
Proven success leading automated distribution facilities with high SKU complexity and high-volume throughput.
Experience managing teams of 200+ employees through multiple levels of leadership.
Experience supporting retail, automotive aftermarket, e-commerce, or multi-channel distribution environments preferred.
Prior DC startups or network transformations highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and accountability for all distribution center operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and transportation coordination.
Ensure efficient execution of daily operations while achieving KPIs related to safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost.
Lead a highly automated distribution environment with advanced warehouse technologies and sortation equipment.
Develop and execute operational strategies that support company objectives, network optimization, and business growth.
Build and coach a high-performing leadership team; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
Promote safety, regulatory compliance, and disciplined inventory integrity through audits and cycle counts.
Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve workflow, productivity, and costs.
Develop and manage departmental budgets and lead DC startup/expansion initiatives.
