Job summary

The Home Depot in the United States is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead an hourly team and guide the distribution center to run safely, efficiently, and productively. You will hire, develop, and evaluate hourly associates while managing transportation functions and driving improvements in service, cost, and performance.

Partner with Operations leadership to meet budgets, schedules, and safety standards; possess the ability to relocate and adapt to multiple shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• Supply Chain Experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Experience with managing a dedicated fleet.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Manages transportation functions of the facility to meet budget, standards and metrics; plans routes and manages fleet.
• Coaches and develops hourly associates; conducts regular evaluations and handles staffing actions.
• Drives on-time service to stores and analyzes performance metrics to drive improvements.
• Coordinates transportation planning to align with the business plan and budgets.
