Morris Furniture Co., Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day Distribution Center operations, providing frontline leadership, coordinating workflows, and ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate movement of product.

You will coach teams, monitor performance, and uphold quality, inventory standards, and customer satisfaction. The role requires coaching and development of associates, enforcing safety protocols, and partnering with department leaders to optimize end-to-end product flow

• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-functional operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable navigating WMS, RF scanning technology, and basic reporting tools.
• Safety-first mindset with working knowledge of OSHA regulations and powered equipment operation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting workloads.
• Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills for coaching and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate across the DC, Customer service, and delivery as operation needs.
• Serve as the critical link between the Operations Manager, Department Managers, and Associates.
• Assign daily work and task allocation to associates based on volume and priorities.
• Monitor productivity, throughput, and quality; reallocate resources as needed.
• Lead daily team huddles on priorities, safety, and performance.
• Coach, train and cross-train associates; support onboarding of new hires.
• Conduct performance check-ins and document attendance and performance issues.
• Perform quality checks and daily audits to ensure standards.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE; address unsafe conditions.
• Ensure proper use and daily inspection of warehouse equipment.
• Track inventory accuracy via cycle counts and spot checks.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work area per 5S standards.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager with solutions.
• Coordinate workflows with leaders across departments for end-to-end flow.
