Job summary

The State of Florida Department of Health in Melbourne is seeking a DISTRIBUTED COMPUTER SYSTEMS SPECIALIST to provide helpdesk support, install and upgrade distributed systems, configure OS and applications, and deliver onsite troubleshooting at DOH sites. You will manage user access and maintain inventory while ensuring security and policy compliance.

The role requires Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 proficiency, AD and HMS familiarity, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Six or more months of experience with computers and electronics.
• Six or more months with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 Apps.
• One or more years of experience providing customer or personal services.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license; if out of state, Florida license within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Receives helpdesk requests, creates tickets, and resolves incidents or escalates.
• Installs and upgrades distributed computer systems hardware, software and comms.
• Configures OS, apps, and services and integrates with other systems.
• Provides onsite support for issues not solvable remotely; may travel to sites.
• Manages user access across systems including Active Directory and HMS.
• Maintains inventory of networked hardware and software.
