Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and deliver online courses and supplemental materials for distance education. You will provide faculty development and training, ensuring high-quality courses are completed on schedule and within budget.

The role reports to the Director of eLearning and requires collaboration with academic colleagues to implement effective instructional technologies across modalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and three years of related experience.
• OR Master’s degree in relevant field and one year of related experience in course design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain online resources to support distance education initiatives.
• Create and deliver online courses and digital instructional materials.
• Collaborate with chairs, faculty, and staff on all phases of course development.
• Consult on innovative teaching methods for blended and online learning.
• Train faculty and staff in technical and pedagogical skills for online delivery.
