Primary Purpose:
Maintain professional relationships with customers, carriers, and other Kinder Morgan employees.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations and avoid costly errors.
- Collaborate with senior dispatchers and managers to address customer complaints and inquiries.
- Manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities effectively.
- Create plant operating orders, communicate via phone and radio, and interface with truck drivers.
- Issue proper placards, seals, SDS, COA, and product ID tags to drivers.
- Verify orders throughout the day, including closing orders, applying delay codes, and entering ancillary charges.
- Obtain tare and gross weights of tank trucks and calculate loaded product quantities.
- Assist in managing truck activity in the terminal.
- Create accurate D.O.T. BOLs meeting KLM, D.O.T., and customer requirements.
- Complete tank truck movement data accurately in systems, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Follow up on customer issues with management to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain proficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
- Address issues related to product movement by coordinating with the CSR Manager.
- Satisfy all customer requirements, promote teamwork, and ensure timely, efficient service.
- Maintain current DOT certification and training.
- Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as required by customer demand.
Position Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college experience is a plus.
Experience / Knowledge:
- 3-5 years in the liquids terminal industry.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Experience dispatching, scaling trucks, and calculating loads per DOT regulations.
Certifications:
- Current DOT certification and training.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent math skills, including operations with percentages and fractions.
Physical Demands:
- Proficiency in Excel, Data Entry, Outlook, and inventory systems like SAP.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work quickly, independently, and accurately under pressure.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to work schedules.
Working Conditions:
- Walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.
Compensation:
$45,300 - $63,400, commensurate with experience and skills.
