Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dispatch experience in intermodal transportation, trucking, or container logistics.
• Experience coordinating port/container movements is highly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with V-Intermodal dispatch software is a plus.
• Ability to learn transportation management systems quickly.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule container pickups and deliveries.

• Dispatch drivers and communicate route assignments, schedules, and any changes.

• Track container movements and provide timely updates to customers.

• Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and transportation documentation.

• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, transportation laws, and company policies.

• Perform data entry and maintain dispatch reports.

• Answer incoming phone calls and emails professionally.

• Assist the Operations Manager with daily dispatch activities.

• Resolve scheduling issues while providing exceptional customer service.
