Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented to coordinate daily operations for our HVAC and Plumbing service teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching technicians, ensuring efficient routes, maintaining communication between the office and field, and helping deliver exceptional customer service.

• Schedule and dispatch HVAC and plumbing technicians based on availability, skills, location, and job priority
• Communicate clearly with technicians throughout the day regarding job details, changes, and customer updates
• Answer incoming calls, respond to service requests, and assist customers with scheduling or service questions
• Monitor and adjust technician routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• Use dispatch software to input, track, and update work orders, customer details, and job notes
• Coordinate with parts and inventory personnel to ensure technicians have needed materials
• Handle emergency calls and after-hours dispatching as needed (if applicable)
• Maintain daily job logs, reports, and documentation for service history and billing
• Serve as a communication link between the customer, office, and field technicians
• Work closely with the customer service team to ensure prompt and professional service delivery

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of dispatching experience (HVAC, plumbing, or similar trades preferred)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficient with scheduling/dispatch software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, or similar)
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing terminology is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience dispatching for both residential and commercial service teams
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Prior knowledge of local service area and geography
