Position Purpose:

Under immediate supervision, the Dispatcher responds promptly to customer inquiries regarding pick-ups, schedules, product orders, and other needs. The dispatcher also assigns vehicles to pre-set routes daily to ensure efficient customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Customer Service with requests (SFDC cases), route changes, and rescheduling pickups/missed stops
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with Customer 1st objectives
• Monitor, process, and escalate SFDC cases to supervisors
• Assist walk-in customers
• Support drivers with issues during routes or at route end
• Review and file drivers' paperwork
• Update routes, add new customers, and reroute existing customers as needed based on daily communication
• Ensure routes are balanced daily
• Assist Trans Supervisor/Manager as required
• Update SAP data and notes
• Communicate performance standards and objectives
• Keep staff informed of current issues, changes, and developments through organized meetings
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace
• In the absence of a supervisor, monitor staff performance and safety, and recommend improvements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 2+ years experience in Transportation, Logistics, Routing, or Customer Service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
