Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a hands-on Dispatch Manager to lead a team, keep daily dispatch operations running smoothly, and deliver exceptional service to municipal and private customers. You’ll work with the District Manager and Operations to optimize staffing, equipment, and routes while upholding safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dispatch/ logistics experience.
• Previous supervisory experience with hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
• Strong knowledge of dispatch operations, route coordination, and service delivery.
• Experience monitoring productivity metrics and driving improvements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop a team of Dispatchers with clear performance expectations.
• Oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure routes are assigned and completed on schedule.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment availability, and route coverage with District Manager.
• Establish dispatch procedures, communications protocols, and service standards.
• Build relationships with municipal contacts and provide proactive updates.
• Monitor route productivity, missed stops, and service performance.
• Resolve route delays, staffing shortages, and service interruptions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations on route changes and improvements.
• Analyze dispatch performance to identify productivity improvements.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and route documentation.
