Job summary

Circle Logistics in Michigan is seeking a Dispatch Operations Representative to coordinate daily shipments, provide visibility, and maintain accurate documentation for all loads. You will initiate check calls, track drivers, and work with Sales to resolve customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of work experience in customer service, operations, data entry, call center, dispatch or logistics.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, balance, and organize information while completing multiple tasks.
• Above average proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter new load orders into our proprietary web-based software.
• Initiate check calls to track and trace drivers on all pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate correspondence with drivers internally to ensure accurate documentation.
• Closely monitor freight via multiple detailed websites to ensure accurate delivery times and to notify customers of potential delays.
• Maintain and collect proper paperwork for each shipment.
• Work cooperatively with Sales to provide solutions for customers’ needs and resolve issues.
• Provide and negotiate freight rates to carriers.
• Manage daily shipments to ensure timely pick-up and delivery.
• Procurement of new carriers based on volume and lane density.
