Job summary

Cape Fear Transport seeks a Dispatch Specialist in Elizabethtown, NC to manage external customer orders and internal fuel and bulk plant dispatch. You will lead dispatch activities, monitor routes, and ensure inventory continuity with weekly reporting to the Transport Director.

The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and Excel skills, plus a degree with experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision and 401(k); remote work is available in select roles.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years work experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with Excel and dispatch workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform lead dispatch duties for external customers and internal stores.
• Monitor driver routes and delivery windows to ensure on-time performance.
• Prepare daily schedules and routes for next day orders.
• Maintain inventory records and report issues to Ops Manager.
• Input new site information into dispatch software and monitor fuel orders.
