The role requires strong leadership, clear communication with drivers and customers, and a solid understanding of transportation regulations. This is a full-time on-site position with long hours in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

Description

This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling drivers to pick up and deliver loads to well sites. The Dispatcher will be responsible for using the routing software or procedure provided by the company to establish daily trucking routes and make required stops outlined within these routes. This position may require you to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with drivers to schedule emergency pick-up or delivery for new or established clients when necessary.

Responsible for route coordination and dispatching drivers.
Ensure drivers are performing their work in accordance with ECW/Owner Operator contract.
Coordinate vacation, time-off schedules, and payroll with drivers.
Discipline drivers when the driver fails to meet managements' expectations. This includes warnings, suspensions, monetary penalties, and termination.
Handle's all payroll activities related to drivers: deductions, additions, advances, etc.
Provide safety materials and instruction to driver force.
Communicate any fleet maintenance related issues to appropriate ECW personnel.

Position Requirements

Ability to manage both company and owner operator drivers.
Must be able to efficiently communicate with drivers and customers.
Strong understanding of transportation requirements, rules, regulations.
Strong leadership skills.
Dispatchers need to be adaptable to lengthy and strenuous working hours; dispatchers generally work a 50-hour week and spend long periods sitting at their desk.
