Cape Fear Transport is seeking a Dispatch Specialist in Elizabethtown, NC. The role focuses on accepting customer orders, leading dispatch activities, and managing inventory across locations to ensure supply continuity.

The specialist will generate weekly reports for the Director and coordinate with drivers to meet delivery windows. The ideal candidate will bring an associates or bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong organizational and analytical skills, and proficient

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years work experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and able to work well in a structured environment.
• Detail focused and able to multitask on projects.
• Advanced analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis.
• Experienced with Excel and computing environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform lead dispatch duties for external customers and internal users.
• Receive calls from drivers and resolve loading/unloading issues.
• Monitor routes and ensure delivery windows are met.
• Prepare daily work schedules and routes for next day orders.
• Enter and dispatch all fuel orders via dispatch system.
• Maintain inventory site management within dispatch software.
• Provide weekly activity reports to Director and maintain relationships with drivers.
