Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Dispatcher to handle incoming calls and dispatch hot-shot requests for dealers, while assisting in warehouse and office duties. The role includes balancing invoices and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure reliable battery supply.

Successful candidates will be proficient in Outlook/Excel, possess local geographic knowledge, and excel in a team environment with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel.
• Good knowledge of the geographical area.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Previous experience in telephone and dispatch operations preferred.
• Must work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
• Manage hot-shot drivers to deliver efficient service.
• Wait on and assist all walk-in customers with courteous service and information.
• Handle and balance invoices generated.
• Follow-up weekly with largest customers to ensure satisfaction and battery supply.
• Assist with warehouse and office duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
