Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Hot Shot Driver to deliver batteries to dealers and support warehouse operations. The role includes loading/unloading, daily route execution, and interacting with customers in a professional manner.

You will follow safety policies, maintain battery stock and documentation, and assist Route Managers as needed. This position requires basic math, computer literacy, and a clean driving record, with potential forklift work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools is required (tablets, scanners).
• Must have a clean driving record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and/or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Run the Hot Shots and assigned routes on a timely basis as needed.
• Load and unload batteries.
• General warehousing duties as assigned by management, including assisting customers.
• Deliver batteries to customers on a timely basis and in a safe and professional manner.
• Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
• Ensure batteries are charged, cleaned and dated, and that stock is rewrapped after rotation.
• Accurately complete reports and claims.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders including team members, managers and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
