Job summary

Velocity is seeking Dispatchers to act as a communication point for our Velocity Field Technicians and customers. Dispatch Coordinators receive requests, transmit messages and schedule technicians from the Velocity database to customer sites.

This position involves verifying arrivals, negotiating pricing with technicians, and following up on scheduled appointments. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in challenging situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of networking principles and technologies helpful.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and strong communication skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch jobs from customers to technicians in the database.
• Schedule appointments for the jobs with technicians.
• Coordinate access to job sites with customers.
• Verify technicians are on track with their appointments.
• Recruit technicians for current and future jobs.
• Coordinate getting special equipment to job sites for technicians to use.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
