Job summary

Bigwhiskeys is seeking a dependable dishwasher to keep tableware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment clean and organized. You will load and operate the dish machine, monitor water temperature, and ensure a steady supply of clean items for service.

Ideal candidates are able to work in a hot, wet, and loud environment, stand for long periods, and lift up to 60 pounds as needed. No prior restaurant experience required, on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required.
• Ability to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for extended periods.
• Physically capable of lifting, reaching, bending and stooping.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours).
• Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks up to 60 pounds up to 30 times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems.
• Monitor the dish machine’s water temperature to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
• Perform trash audits every 15 minutes.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster as needed.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation; follow supervisor directions.
• Help with light prep and portioning.

• Monitor dish machine’s water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle

• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen

• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at appropriate times
