Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper to clean and sanitize dishes, unload and deliver patient meals, and restock serviceware in a hospital setting in Florida. The role supports patient care by ensuring safe, timely meal service and maintaining sanitary dishroom operations.

Compensation ranges $15.45–$24.73 per hour with benefits from day one. The position emphasizes food safety, confidentiality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Additional Information: Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
