Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring for a dishwashing/kitchen support role in Florida. The position involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, delivering patient meals, and transporting carts to nursing units while maintaining strict cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and may require a Food Safety Handler Certificate. Benefits start from Day One, including health insurance and retirement plans. This is a full-time, day-shift position located in Orange City, FL.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment according to safety standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, removing visible soil.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following ID protocols.
• Transport patient meal carts to and from nursing units, keeping carts clean.
• Restock clean serviceware and monitor sanitation logs and chemical usage for compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards. Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization. Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies. Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment. Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned.
