Job summary

AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking a Food Service Worker to clean and sanitize dishes and kitchen items, and prepare meals for patient trays. The role includes delivering trays, transporting meal carts, restocking serviceware, and maintaining sanitation records in a busy hospital setting.

Education-wise, a High School Grad or equivalent is preferred, with Food Safety Handler certifications preferred or as required by state. Pay range: $15.45 - $24.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state.
• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
