Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a night? day? or general dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. The role focuses on washing and sanitizing dishes, delivering patient trays, and maintaining cleanliness in the dishroom and surrounding areas.

The position requires adherence to safety standards, proper handling of materials, and collaboration with food service staff. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, and state requirements for food safety may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Preferred)
• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) preferred

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following safety standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking to remove soil before washing.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time with confidentiality in mind.
• Transport meal carts between nursing units and maintain cleanliness of carts and equipment.
• Restock serviceware and monitor sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance.

Job Description

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $15.31 - $24.49
