Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, Florida is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and assemble meals for patients, stock nursing pantries, and deliver trays following safety protocols. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and assisting with inventory management to support quality patient nutrition.

You will operate the dishroom and cafe registers, monitor temperature logs, and uphold food safety standards while delivering compassionate care within a team-oriented, faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English is required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with a Point of Sale system preferred.
• Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred.
• 1+ year related foodservice or dietary aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following recipes and requirements.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments; maintain inventory records.
• Serve meals on tray lines; record temperatures and deliver trays to patients with proper ID protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and equipment; follow cleaning protocols.
• Operate dishroom and café registers; process transactions and monitor sanitation logs.

Job Description

Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency. Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation. Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations. Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed. Other duties as assigned.
