The South Carolina State Treasurer’s Office seeks a Disbursement Reconciliations Lead to manage reconciliation of imprest bank accounts and related ledgers. The role also backs up the ACH enrollment portal and vendor updates per STO policy.

Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements to the general ledger, supporting AP workflow, and maintaining precise documentation and procedures. Strong accounting knowledge and MS Office proficiency are required.

Formación

• A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
• A bachelor’s degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Ability to organize, edit and produce detailed data within limited time frames.
• Knowledge of various computer software packages including Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the receipt of daily/monthly bank statements on assigned imprest bank accounts. Reconciles these bank statements to the SCEIS general ledger. Researches errors, maintains a bank reconciling item list, and communicates with banks to resolve discrepancies.
• Back-up for reviewing and decisioning daily Accounts Payable workflow documents in SCEIS and train on STO policy regarding changes in terms or method on payable documents.
• Reconciles the general ledger to the check register for Contingent, Tax and Payroll accounts on a monthly basis; quarterly for Medicaid and Public Assistance; reconcilies imprest SCEIS funds quarterly.
• Processes bi-weekly non-historic check cancellations; coordinates with related parties; prepares reports; makes adjustments for historic encashments; handles positive pay items and backups for bank accounts.
• Assists with ACH enrollment portal questions and troubleshooting; reviews documentation for enrollments via alternative method.
• Creates Desk Procedures that are well-documented and organized for all job duties.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
