The South Carolina State Treasurer’s Office is seeking a Disbursement Reconciliations Lead to oversee the reconciliation of imprest bank accounts and related general ledger entries. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and the ability to manage discrepancies with banks and vendors.

You will serve as a back-up for the ACH enrollment portal and vendor term updates, coordinating with STO personnel and state agencies.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree with accounting courses may substitute for work experience.
• Experience in accounting, auditing, finance, or banking is preferred.
• Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes and financial statement analysis is a plus.

Mansioni

• Coordinate receipt of daily/monthly bank statements and reconcile to the general ledger.
• Research errors, maintain reconciliation item lists, and communicate with banks to resolve discrepancies.
• Back-up for reviewing daily Accounts Payable workflow documents and training agencies on STO policy changes.
• Reconcile the general ledger to the check register for various accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Process bi-weekly non-historic check cancellations and prepare related reports.
• Assist with ACH enrollment portal questions and troubleshoot as needed.
