Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Licensure or certification required for specific assignment must be current.
• Experience in social work, human services, disaster response/recovery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy with Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams for field support in disaster-impacted jurisdictions.
• Assess and document operational impacts that may affect access to human services.
• Explain how observed disaster conditions affect providers and populations served.
• Document service-access impacts across child care, welfare, aging, housing, and related services.
• Conduct interviews with providers, officials, and partners using approved assessment protocols.
• Record observations in designated systems and maintain supporting notes.
• Coordinate with engineers regarding facility conditions; avoid engineering judgments unless qualified.
• Identify service gaps, operational barriers, and resource needs for recovery.
• Prepare assessment summaries, briefings, and mission reports for partners.
• Provide social work and crisis-support when within scope; protect PII and comply with privacy rules.
