Job summary

Endeavors seeks a Disaster Human Services Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team conducting impact assessments across disaster-affected areas. You will evaluate how disasters affect providers, clients, and access to essential services, documenting findings and coordinating with engineers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a closely related human services field is preferred.
• Advanced education in Social Work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deploy as a member of Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams and support field assessment activities in disaster impacted jurisdictions identified.
• Assess and document operational impacts that may reduce, interrupt, or prevent access to human services, including impacts associated with facilities, equipment, vehicles, grounds, utilities, accessibility, staffing, and service-delivery conditions.
• Apply working knowledge of human services delivery to explain how observed disaster conditions may affect providers and the populations they serve.
• Identify and document service-access impacts involving child care, child welfare, aging and elder care, and other critical social services.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from human service providers, local officials, and other sources using approved assessment protocols and tools.
