Endeavors seeks a Disaster Human Services Social Worker in Baton Rouge, LA to support Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams. You will evaluate how disaster impacts to human service facilities and operations affect access to services and community resilience.

Working with civil engineers and other professionals, you will document observations, coordinate resources, prepare assessments and reports, and assist with recovery planning while ensuring privacy and client-centered service.

Formación

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a closely related field is preferred. Advanced education desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy as a member of Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams and support field assessment activities in disaster impacted jurisdictions identified.
• Assess and document operational impacts that may reduce access to human services, including facilities, equipment, vehicles, grounds, utilities, accessibility, staffing, and service-delivery conditions.
• Apply working knowledge of human services delivery to explain how observed disaster conditions may affect providers and the populations they serve.
• Identify and document service-access impacts involving child care, child welfare, aging and elder care, intimate partner violence services, homelessness services, labor and sex trafficking services, nutrition assistance, economic self-sufficiency programs, and supports for individuals with disabilities and others with access and functional needs.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
