Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking an Operations Specialist to coordinate disaster relief activities across the United States from North Wilkesboro, NC. You will monitor forecasts, participate in planning, and support dispersed teams to ensure informed, timely decisions and continuous improvement.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related field and at least 2 years of operational disaster relief experience, plus strong communication and data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related field with two years of operational experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Data collection, analysis, reporting and visualization understanding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate disaster relief operations across geographically dispersed locations and across all response phases.
• Gather, compile, and deliver timely situation updates and operational reports to department leadership.
• Monitor weather forecasts and emerging needs to support proactive planning and crisis action planning.
• Participate in after-action reviews to identify lessons learned.
• Maintain and improve operations-center tools, systems, and reporting processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
