Job summary

Samaritan's Purse seeks a Team Patriot Manager for the North American Disaster Relief team in North Wilkesboro, NC. The role focuses on shepherding volunteers, recruiting and training alumni, and coordinating deployments to support disaster responses.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination. Military experience is preferred to enhance credibility with volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Prior military experience is preferred and beneficial for credibility with volunteers.
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, public speaking).
• Ability to recruit and build sustainable talent pipelines, especially volunteers.
• Ability to lead, coach, and influence volunteers and staff.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and logistical planning abilities.
• Willingness to work 12-14 hours per day during disaster response.
• Ability to de-escalate conflict and lead calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Shepherd, encourage, and spiritually prepare Team Patriot volunteers before and during deployments.
• Recruit, select, train, and disciple alumni, building trust through leadership and shared military experience.
• Develop strategies to grow a Team Patriot volunteer pipeline for multiple disaster responses.
• Coordinate pre-deployment planning to ensure personnel and assets arrive ahead of volunteers.
• Maintain safety, training, and operational procedures with accurate records.
