Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs nationwide through our Disaster Recovery Cadre. This on-call, as-needed role will develop, review, and document cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects.

Assignments may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs and project requirements, with collaboration across engineers, architects, environmental

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in construction estimating or related discipline.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Scope projects and perform damage assessment for disaster recovery.
• Develop conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and drainage.
• Review plans, reports, and cost documentation for compliance.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance and funding determinations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain project records.
