Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop accurate, defensible, and well-documented cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work.

This on-call, as-needed Cadre role offers remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments. Candidates should have cost estimating experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams during

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments and to work remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for disaster recovery projects including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review plans, specs, and contractor proposals for accuracy and completeness.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other recovery program requirements.
• Document estimate assumptions and provide audit-ready documentation.
