Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work, based on site assessments and project scopes.

This on-call, hybrid role may involve remote work, field visits, and rapid deployment to disaster sites. Strong analytical, communication, and MS Office skills are essential, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, project scopes, and inspection activities.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs with scoping and cost estimating.
• Develop and validate project scopes, prepare cost estimates, and support funding determinations.
• Review engineering plans, estimates, and cost documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and program staff to define eligible work.
