Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs nationwide. You will develop accurate, defensible, and well-documented cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work projects, evaluating damaged infrastructure and helping determine funding eligibility.

This is an on-call cadre position with potential remote, field-based, or hybrid assignments based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Estimate costs for repair, restoration, reconstruction, mitigation, and replacement projects.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, drainage systems, parks, and other public infrastructure.
• Support FEMA Cost Estimating Format (CEF) analyses when required.
• Develop clear, defensible estimate documentation for audits and program reviews.
