Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs. You will develop conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent fixes, collaborating with engineers, architects, and program staff.

This on-call, as-needed role can be remote, field-based, or hybrid, with travel as required to disaster sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional estimating experience in construction-related fields.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scopes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates for disaster recovery projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions cost estimates.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and other public infrastructure.
• Ensure estimate documentation is clear, defensible, and audit-ready.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff to define eligible work.
