Job summary

Endeavors in Albany, NY is seeking a Disaster Human Services Case Manager for deployment across field or remote operations. You will conduct intake, assess unmet needs, and work with survivors to develop individualized recovery plans while coordinating resources and maintaining precise case documentation.

These are deployable positions with housing allowances and per diems provided upon deployment and a focus on privacy, equity, and sensitive handling of survivor information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as stated.
• Experience in case management, human services, crisis intervention, benefits/resource navigation, disaster recovery, or community-based services.
• Disaster case management experience strongly preferred.
• Language capability in a second language is desirable.
• Complete organization and required screening, credentialing, cybersecurity/privacy training, Rules of Behavior before deployment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct disaster survivor intake, screening, and needs assessments using approved tools and procedures.
• Develop individualized recovery plans with survivors, establish achievable goals, identify barriers, and update plans as needed.
• Identify, verify, and coordinate federal, state, tribal, local, nonprofit, and community resources.
• Provide resource referrals and follow-up; assist survivors in navigating benefits and recovery resources.
• Apply FEMA sequence of delivery and avoid duplication of benefits where applicable.
• Maintain regular survivor contact; document progress, referrals, outcomes, and follow-up activities.
• Complete case transfer, transition, and closure activities with proper file retention and reporting.
• Enter and maintain accurate case information in approved case management systems.
