Job summary

The American Red Cross in Wilmington, NC is recruiting a Community Disaster Program Manager to coordinate volunteer-led disaster services. You will identify partners, mobilize resources, and align readiness activities to improve community resilience across assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years building, mobilizing, and leading volunteer teams for social services.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: lead a diverse team to deliver volunteer-led disaster services in the area.
• Lead the Program: implement disaster cycle services or regional activities.
• Mission Capacity Building: develop disaster volunteers reflective of community demographics.
• Cultivate Disaster Leadership Volunteers and community partnerships.
• Engage Community: mobilize partners and assets to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
• Know Your Communities: act as subject matter expert to maximize Red Cross presence.
