Job summary

American Red Cross in Pennsylvania seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer teams and ensure disaster readiness across communities. You will mobilize partners, assess resources, and coordinate readiness and response activities to protect lives and property during disasters.

The role requires strong collaboration, strategic planning, and the ability to deploy to disaster sites. You will develop volunteer leaders and work across programs to strengthen community resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower a diverse volunteer team delivering disaster cycle services.
• Implement disaster cycle services activities within the assigned area or region.
• Develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers to support readiness and recovery.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
• Coordinate disaster relief operations in alignment with program concepts.
