Job summary

AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS is seeking a Disaster Workforce Engagement professional to initiate and nurture Disaster Cycle Services relationships with volunteers. You will engage workers with assignments aligned to their motivation and interests, helping fill open Disaster Cycle Services positions and meet service delivery needs.

You will participate in the Disaster Workforce Engagement Team, support annual goals, and contribute to projects like volunteer interviews, profile updates in Volunteer

Responsibilities

• Initiate Disaster Cycle Services relationship with volunteers.
• Engage volunteers by providing assignments aligned with their motivation and interests.
• Fill Disaster Cycle Services open positions and meet service delivery demands.
• Support annual workforce engagement goals, regional plans, and chapter initiatives for volunteer engagement.
• Participate in Disaster Workforce Engagement Team and related projects such as interviews, updating Volunteer Connection, recognition, and scheduling volunteers.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to initiate a Disaster Cycle Services relationship and engage the worker by providing assignments matching their motivation and interests, while filling Disaster Cycle Services open positions and meeting service delivery demands.

This position is responsible for tasks assigned by the specific Disaster Workforce Engagement Team program lead:

• Support the annual workforce engagement goals, RDO objectives, and regional/chapter plan for volunteer engagement through participation in meetings and projects.
• Active participation on the Disaster Workforce Engagement Team
• Projects may include but are not limited to conducting volunteer interviews, updating profiles in Volunteer Connection, recognition, scheduling volunteers, etc.
