Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Specialist to guide and support volunteer teams, deliver disaster-cycle services, and collaborate with community partners. The role emphasizes engagement with frontline communities, readiness planning, and regional deployment after training.

You will work to ensure culturally and linguistically accessible services, manage disaster-related activities, and contribute to a mission-driven program across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related disaster program experience.
• A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: Facilitate a diverse volunteer team delivering disaster cycle services.
• Support the Program: Assist with program activities within a geographic area.
• Mission Capacity Building: Engage disaster volunteers from local communities.
• Engage Community: Prepare and mobilize communities and partners for disasters.
• Ready to Respond: Participate in regional disaster response operations after training.
